Riffspire develops audio software for guitarists. In these terms, “the software” means any plugin or application we distribute, including RiffTuner, in all its formats — Audio Unit, VST3 and standalone.
By downloading, installing or using the software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not install it.
RiffTuner is provided free of charge. You may:
You may not sell, rent or sublicense the software, distribute modified copies, or present it as your own work. If you want to share it, link to the download page rather than passing the file around — that way people always get the current, signed version.
We keep all rights to the software that are not expressly granted here.
The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In particular we do not warrant that it will be free of defects, that it will run without interruption, that it will be compatible with any specific host, hardware or operating system version, or that it will be fit for any particular purpose.
Tuning readings are measurements, not guarantees. You are responsible for checking the result before you rely on it.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage arising out of the use of, or inability to use, the software. This includes lost work, lost recordings or projects, interruption to a session, loss of data, or damage to other software or equipment.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited — including liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and any statutory rights you have as a consumer. Those rights stand regardless of what is written here.
This is practical advice rather than legal wording, and it matters more than the paragraph above it. Any plugin runs inside your host application, and any plugin can crash it. Save often and keep backups of sessions that matter to you — with our software and with everyone else’s.
We may change, update or stop distributing the software at any time, and we are not obliged to provide updates or support. If we withdraw a free download, copies already installed keep working — we do not disable software remotely.
The software does not require an account and does not send your audio anywhere. Audio is processed locally on your machine. How the website handles data is described in our privacy policy.
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you download the software is the one that applies to that download, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
These terms are governed by Polish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in.
